At Dr. S. P. Singh College of Teacher Education, we are not just preparing teachers—we are shaping the future of education. My vision is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: quality education should not be a privilege limited to metropolitan cities, but a right accessible to every learner and every educator across Bharat.
Having spent nearly two decades in leadership roles at American Express—both in India and abroad—and being an alumnus of IIM-Calcutta, I’ve seen firsthand how the right guidance, structure, and vision can transform individuals and institutions alike. When I transitioned from the corporate world to education, it was with a purpose: to bring the best global practices to the grassroots and bridge the glaring gap between urban opportunities and rural aspirations.
Dr. S. P. Singh College of Teacher Education was established with the goal of preparing teachers who are not only academically sound, but also ethically grounded, emotionally intelligent, and socially aware. Our focus is on developing educators who can inspire learning, foster inclusive classrooms, and meet the demands of a rapidly evolving education system.
We offer a modern curriculum enriched with field-based experiences, regular academic mentoring, and training in emerging educational technologies. But more than that, we offer an environment that believes in holistic development—of minds, hearts, and character. Our sprawling green campus, experienced faculty, and strong academic ethos all work together to ensure that every trainee leaves our institution empowered to make a difference.
